punching in DOES NOT BLOW, it gives you a more crisp feel...in encourage most of my clients to punch in....
i could go on and on and rap for ever without punchin in, but it would sound sloppy, and people dont want that....well some do, but if you want mass audience, you are going to have to be better then tech n9ne with your breathing patterns, or you are going to have to punch in....n hes been doing it was 17 years....so your gon have to catch up with expeirence

yea..... people i record hate punching in, even tho only other rappers can Tell that you punch in pretty much, and if it isnt obvious then even they wont know unless theyre actively trying to find out when you punch in...
my motto, tho, is that if you're spitting 16 bars, you really should only punch in once, or else you'll run the risk of not being able to capture great emotion on the track.... thats unless your flow is ridiculously fast the whole time... but on the other side, you shouldnt be writing a flow that you arent going to be able to perform... |

i did that once... haha.
way back... it was a super fast flow and one line escaped me everytime cuz it was a stop then go fast again part... had to get my nigga to double it on stage so i could keep going.... haha never again.

not really, if you punch in beacuse you HAVE TO then you never preform that track duh, but if you punch in just to make it sound better, its fine, cuz people dont expect you to sound as ON POINT when your live....yep
