I would say every single rapper changes all the time, purely because if rappers did the same shit they get boring.

Stillmatic dropped and he returned to his roots, but not fully, with coming of age tracks like "Rewind" and "one Mic" that if they would've appeared on Illmatic, it'd probably be the best album ever, bar none. The Lost Tapes dropped, showing fans what should've made I am... a Classic. God's Son Dropped, and he still hasn't fell off from his return. Also, taking care of Jigga on Stillmatic to show his fans that he was back to Nasty.

Werd, he adapted....

If you really think about it... Canibus... like.. if you listen closely.. on 2000 bc he was like a lyrical yet gangsta type artists.. and now then when mic club-rip the jacker.. hes back to his lyrical roots n shit.. not that he never was just he's toning down on his gangsta like one poet laureate dat was a crazy 7 minutes.. but listen to 100 bars.. a crazy 4 minutes.. but youll see a big diffrence besides the time he had rhyming lol

eminem show isnt laughable, it shows lyrical progress and maturity... if he kept raping mothers and fucking dogs he'd get boring eventually... but he did change heaps... and how can u say infinite is original? the lyrics are fucking awesome and its a tight album, but in case u didnt notice, the beats, production, flow and layout of the album sound very much like illmatic... he was biting nas' style back then.. just listen to the keys in the chorus of 313.. and listen to the intro of infinite

^ i cant believe i didnt think of that... same thing happened to biggy... but since biggie was fat, his loss of weight when his body decomposed would make him slightly nudge the win from 2pac..

nas changed alot too... snoop.... nelly changed... he became even gayer
