ah, a program called Logic. It has an "invert phase" (if I remember correctly) feature which makes it possible to strip vocals off a beat. It's the only program to my knowledge that can do it, but I wouldnt' be surprised if there's others out there.

yeah there's a shitload of tutorials on it on the net. But the problem with Logic is that it has a hardware key instead of some software shit you type in, os no ones' bene able ot get a functioning version of it. BUT if you came across one, lemme know.
