his name is Rob Thomas and yeah he had like 3 chart toppers, he had at LEAST one this year as a matter of fact... people that win American Idol have more than one hit single and CD fuh real...they've all gone on to great careers, Kelly clarkson is nominated for a Grammy Award this year nigga, even the ones that get like 2nd place win shit...the winner this year is someone we haven't seen cuz she does country music and I'm fairly sure none of us listen to it for the most part, American Idol winners sell LOTS of records, only people that win competitions and don't sell records are people that win rap shit from cable networks like MTV and BET type shit...American Idol is one of the most watched shows EVER in America and people get to voTe for and take the ride with their favorite contestant, you get to see how they grow over the time, it's the PERFECT way to start your recording career when you think about it
