Worse week than last week, daaaaaaaayum. A lot of no-shows and stuff contributed to this being a poor week. Champ match didn’t go ahead, contender match didn’t happen, a few of the battles in the special event didn’t go down. Everyone drop your hardest and make sure this week is better.

Cypher wasn’t all that good this week, people didn’t seem to be trying and the activity level wasn’t very high. It was pretty close but Feeble Minded won this by a bar. Get at me about having a loss removed or win added:

well, since Kemp seems to be busy, i'll be critiquing the battles this week and since i wasn't around for each battle and for a while, i'll be critiquing these battles completely unbiased and 100% fair. only honest opinions will be given.

LBL Championship Match: 1. N.Tavarez (5-0) vs 2. Gopha (4-1)
ok, well turns out this battle was a big nothing. Tavarez dropped late, with Kemp's permission of course and Gopha drop'd a no show verse, which was later deleted for some reason. regardless, since Tavarez did drop and had a verse, so he advances and remains the leagues champ.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Butler (4-0) vs 4. Phryme (3-0)
ok, this was a match i was lookin forward to. for one, i like butler's verses and i've never seen phryme's material, so i had a feelin it would'a been dope. unfortunately, this was another disappointment for the fact neither really show'd. it was supposed to be a pic, neither could get a pic of one another and so they didn't even drop, except for Phryme's no show verse, but blah on that.. maybe next time the 2 biggest matches will actually take place?

Diss Yourself Battle - Ace Heratoga vs Roger Glocks
good battle, here. i wasn't really feelin glock's verse too much, for the fact the wordin wasn't all there and some of that shit just didn't sound good. glocks did have the "Jim" line as well as the "headBand" line. i thought the "Pitch Black" line was ok, but could've been ALOT better. but ace, wow! he kill'd it.. actually, he kill'd himself with that battle. the "fishy" line had me laughin, as well as the "speak the truth" line, ROFL! ill shitz man. but look at it this way, you may have won the battle, but who actually won in life??? either way, votes were 4-0. roger lost and ace won.

2 Round Battle - Daubs vs E.C
well, this battle was a bit odd to me for the fact they dropped 2 seperate verses. i didn't get that concept, so i'll just critique it the best way i know possible. i though for sure Daubs would take this, but came lightly and a bit play'd imo. the "domonick" line was illy though. my fav in the battle. E.C. had the "forhead" line which was also funny. but, imo, i think daubs should've won. i think he had the better punches and hit harder! votes were 2-0 and E.C. advances.

Wrestling Battle - KempoMRK (Shawn Michaels) vs. Nick Fletcher (Triple H)
another battle that was homo due to a no show. kemp show'd and nick didnt. kemp advances.

Grudge Match - Nick Fletcher vs Raw King
double no show. both lose/win.

Grudge Match - Mimesis vs Led Poetic
well, mimesis didn't have to show really. led poetic bit, thought he could get away with it, got banned and yea.. thats that. mimesis wins!

5. Nick Fletcher (8-4) vs 6. Daubs (8-5)
daubs show'd, nick didn't. daubs advances!

7. Roger Glocks (4-1) vs 8. Faime S. Quotez (2-2)
another weak battle here. was expectin alot more from glocks to be honest. he had a few good lines, but nuttin too impressive to me. Faime had the change ur life around line which i was feelin alot. overall, glocks won it 8-2 and faime lost.

9. Shake-Zula (5-1) vs 10. Monsieur (3-2)
ANOTHER no show. shake show'd and mon didn't. so shake won cause mon was gay.

11. Ace Heratoga (2-0) vs 12. JTR (7-4)
horrible battle imo. i've never seen jack some so play'd or uncreative. i mean, i've seen JTR do well, but this battle wasn't that good. i saw alot of over used/play'd concepts. sad part about it was, i've used most of the concepts i saw in that battle. anywho, after rereviewin the battle, i didn't think ace did as bad, but still not as good as he could've. the "jack knife" line was the best line of the battle even though i didn't quote it when i reviewed it. but yea, ace wins 5-4 and jack loses, of course.

13. So Rell (8-5) vs 14. Wicked One (3-3)
once again.. another no ho! so rell won and hot a pretty good verse to go with it.

14. rexless (1-1) vs 15. Nasdeey (1-1)
very bad battle. nothing really quotable from this. rex won and nasdeey sway'd. thats about it.

16. FuxJustAWord (1-0) vs 17. The Real Talk (1-0)
this battle was bland. fux had a few good lines and the other guy didn't have as much. so yea, fux won 7-0. not much to say here.

18. Donald Junea' (1-0) vs 19. Out Writechas (1-0)
nother no show cause don didn't show, like a fag! he even said he'd post, but hey.. i've no show'd as well. but too damn many now. either way, Out won.

20. J Bee (1-0) vs 21. Mercules (1-0)
whoa! i think J Bee came out'a the closet on this battle. like, i don't even wanna start on such of a homo verse! like, all he talked about was takin up the ass and getin dick in his mouth. whatever though, he still lost! merc did his thing and shit.

22. Erel Avent (3-1) vs 23. Makaveli Trained (2-2)
mak had his thugthizzle. had the "wax eye brow" line and erel had the line about mak's braids i liked. i see that erel had the upper hand on this battle and just came with a more consistant verse. i mean, it just seems like he may have more expirience in the pic department than mak does. erel wins 7-0 and advances.

23. Chrit (6-2) vs 24. E.C (2-1)
another no show cause chrit had a life and e.c. found time to post a verse. so he wins.

25. pictureperfect2 (2-3) vs 26. Nino Brown (1-2)
another non impressive battle. picture came weak with play'd concepts and nino didn't have anyrthin too spectacular! pic wins 4-0.

27. da sein (1-1) vs 28. Hell Yeah (1-1)
another non impressive battle. seen the concepts before like the Ghana line and shit. hell yeah had the modem line. c'mon peeps! lets get a lil more creative nowadayz! either way, da sein wins and hell yeah loses.

29. Catastrophe (1-1) vs 30. Precize (2-2)
in the words of kempo, double no show! doudle loss.

31. Raw King (1-4) vs 32. T.r.oo.P (1-3)
raw, you gotta change ur style! shits atrocious! make shit easier to read. but yea, troop had a decent verse. enough for the win and took this shit pretty easy. liked the "raw" line and a few other ones. either way, troop won and that was it. raw king, elevate then return to the league, holmez.

33. Led Poetic (1-2) vs 34. Sonny Dimebags (0-1)
led lost cause he bit like a flamin homosexual! and sonny really didn't even have to drop. so he advances.

omni no shows and loses. ClasSick advances. wish i could've seen his verse. he's provin himself worthy and appears to be someone to look out for.

N.Tavarez: im chilling here tryna figure out what im doing for the 4th

N.Tavarez: i started TEXT july 04, was doing freestyle battles and just regular battling in NYC, moved and when i did the area wasnt so big on rap battling, so i stumbled on Rapverse, but i been rhyming in general for years now, at least since 96'

N.Tavarez: im pretty young foo, but like i said living in NYC on every corner theres a battle, literally you can go outside and cypher with like 20 heads, my ten year ol nephew just started rhyming so go figure

KempoMRK: So ya did proper battling, do you do audio?

N.Tavarez: i been to studios, did some talent shows back in the day, but not now too much work, gotta pay bills

KempoMRK: Cool. So you started text at RV, how long did it take you to get good?

N.Tavarez: i always felt i was good, but TEXT good is different, it took me a while to get the hang of wordplays and internet personals, i always valued flow, and text is like the exact opposite of flow.......had no idea how played everyday concepts were til then which helps my writing now

KempoMRK: Yeah. What's your favourite battle that you've been in?

N.Tavarez: my favorite? would have to be versus mimesis a longgg time ago, it ended 5-4 in his favor, but that motivated me even more to improve and come back and prove myself

N.Tavarez: i think mim got skills, pisses me off our last battle i wasnt focused and neither was he, we were both busy and half assed, but the day we both drop to our standards, that'll be a n RV classic

N.Tavarez: well, it wasnt what i expected, i was happy to beat shakezula, which is up there with my favorite wins but, mimesis gave the title up, chrits wack ass took it and gave it up too, i want to stay champ, and have mimesis come up, battle him, if i win then, THEN it'll be worth something to me.........until then its just like the old titles i held on RV

N.Tavarez: KLL i was champ til it closed, PLL i been champ of too many times to care, multi league i was the only champ but thats not saying much, and 3rd place KORV three tourneys in a Row

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. N.Tavarez (6-0) vs 2. Butler (5-0) vs 3. Phryme (4-0)

This should be hot if everyone shows up and drops to their potential. Butler and Phryme are both in the champ match as neither really showed and I didn’t wanna fuck stuff up again so I just moved both up. Tavarez had an easy battle last week as his opponent didn’t show and he dropped late. Based on how they’ve done in the league so far I’d say Butler will win this as the verses he has been dropping are dope, so butler to win.

LBL Contendership Match: 4. Daubs (9-5) vs 5. Roger Glocks (5-1)

This should be a good battle. Both are up coming and have skills, so it’s a tossup who’ll win. But based on last week I’ll go with Glocks as he dropped hot dissing himself, then again he had pics so it could go either way.

6. Shake-Zula (6-1) vs 7. Ace Heratoga (4-0)

Nice battle here. Ace has been the surprise of the league while he’s been in it as he’s upset some pretty nice heads. Whether or not he can beat Shake though, I dunno. Shake is dope and I just don’t think Ace is up to his level yet. Therefore Shake to win.

8. So Rell (9-5) vs 9. rexless (2-1)

This should be an easy win for Rell. Rexless is still learning and hasn’t come dope yet, where as Rell has been dropping pretty nice consistently. Rell to win.

10. Gopha (4-1) vs 11. Faime S. Quotez (3-2)

Faime dropped alright last week after not coming good for the past few weeks he’d been in the league, but Gopha is better than him. If Gopha had dropped a verse for his battle he could be champ right now, ya never know. Gopha should win this.

12. Mimesis (9-1) vs 13. FuxJustAWord (2-0)

The technically undefeated champion vs a fellow RV home site person. This should be a good battle just based on their history, but both are nice yet in my eyes there is a clear winner. Mimesis was dropping ill as fuck before he signed out and got verse of the week like 4 weeks in a row, so I don’t see him letting up the second time he’s in the league. Mimesis to win.

14. Out Writechas (2-0) vs 15. Mercules (2-0)

Nice battle here. Out is another surprise of the league as he’s new to it and has been dropping nice. Mercules has been around for ages and it took him a while to elevate but he’s dope now. This could be pretty close, but Merc has the experience factor and I think that will get him the win here.

16. Erel Avent (4-1) vs 17. E.C (4-1)

Pretty cool battle here. E.C is getting better by the week after being seemingly rusty and Erel is just pretty nice. I think Erel is better than E.C though and he should win this.

18. pictureperfect2 (3-3) vs 19. da sein (2-1)

Not a bad battle here either. Both of these battlers are pretty good with the ability to surprise, so this could be a good battle. Could be close as well. But I think people like sein more so I reckon he’ll get this, although if picture gets consistency down and gets rid of some of the poor stuff he drops he could win also.

20. T.r.oo.P (2-3) vs 21. Sonny Dimebags (1-1)

I ain’t read much from Sonny but Troop is getting better by the week. When he properly sorts his style out he could be pretty nice. I think Troop’ll take this.

22. Euthanize (1-0) vs 23. Rae Report (1-0)

Euthanize is a pretty good battler, Rae I ain’t read much of. I think Euth will take this based on what I have seen though, as he’s pretty decent.

24. Feeble Minded (1-0) vs 25. Sangre (1-0)

This should be a good battle. More so on paper though, as Sangre aka Muffy hasn’t been dropping as dope as he can. Feeble has been dope for ages though and he’s fresh etc. Feeble should win this due to Muffy not dropping so good lately.

26. Shadow (1-0) vs 27. JTR (7-5)

I dunno what’s up with JTR. He should be up and around the champ match but he’s been floundering in the lower positions lately. He lost to Ace last week which he probably shouldn’t do. If he tries though he should take this, as Shadow is alright but JTR is better.

28. Nasdeey (1-2) vs 29. Malicious (1-1)

Malicious’ll probably drop half assed or no-show, so Nasdeey’ll win this.

30. Donald Junea' (1-1) vs 31. Tony Brown (2-3)

Tony is a hard person to predict, cos he wasn’t really trying previously in the league I don’t believe. Yet as he hasn’t got much on at the moment he could try. Donald isn’t bad but he ain’t all that dope. Could go either way, but Tony to win.

32. Nino Brown (1-3) vs 33. Hell Yeah (1-2)

Hm hard to predict. Neither are great but they’re both ok, however Nino still has style troubles if I remember rightly. I’m gonna guess Hell Yeah to win.

34. SlicKnife (3-1) vs 35. Marcus Aurelias (0-1)

Slic’s back and he should be going through quite a lot of heads. Marcus is a pretty good battler actually and not one to sleep on, but I think he got a tough draw this week and Slic should win.

36. Automatic (0-0) vs 37. D.Stroyer (0-0)
I haven’t read a verse of D.Stroyer’s but Automatic is nice, so either way Automatic will win this if he shows.

38. Met-A-4 (0-0) vs 39. iRAPEblacKKKids (0-0)

This should be pretty good. Met-A-4 is a nice battler and did well in the league the last time he was in. IRB (As I’m gonna call him from now on) was in the tag tournament and dropped alright. But I got Met-A-4 taking this.

40. Mick Swagger (0-0) vs 41. Realism (0-0)

Iono who Mick Swagger is, must be an alias though as that name is ridiculous lol. Realism is nice though, champed the HBL a few times so he’ll win.

42. The Real Talk (1-1) vs 43. Raw King (1-5)

Real talk practically wrote a freestyle last week lol. Raw King at least has the fundamentals of battling down so he’ll win this.

Don’t Sleep On

Out Writechas – Quite new to the league but he’s definitely hot. I know him from other places and he’s a nice battler.

Feeble Minded – Ill battler, will be around the contender/champ match very soon.

Erel Avent – Has had some biting allegations thrown at him lately, but he is a nice battler.

JTR – He’d better start trying real hard otherwise his record will look awful. When he drops how he can he’s dope though.

SlicKnife – He’s hot, has done well in the league before and I don’t think this’ll be an exception.

Automatic – He was one of the top rookies in LLL in the previous season, as he used to be whack then he became really good

Met-A-4 – Once again, another person who was in the league at the start and is coming back. He’s nice but it will be interesting to see how he does against better competition.

Realism – Previous HBL champion, as long as he tries he’ll do well in this.

Top 10 Power Rankings

10. Mercules – He’s dope. How seriously he takes this league will decide how well he does in it though.

9. Gopha – I was expecting big things from him a couple of weeks ago, but he fucked up by dropping a no-show verse against Tavarez.

8. Ace Heratoga – I don’t see him beating Shake this week but he’s someone who’s done a lot better than I expected. He’s definitely one to watch in the coming weeks as he’s improving weekly.

7. Mimesis – Could still be champ now if he didn’t sign out lmao. He’s dope and should be smaaashing heads on his way to the champ match.

6. Shake-Zula – Moving back up the ranks again after a, in my opinion, harsh loss against Tavarez. He’s dope and will be champ soon.

5. Daubs – Slowly but surely improving. I dunno if he can beat Glocks but he has a good chance to. If he can drop his hardest he may well win.

4. Roger Glocks – He’s a nice battler, has a potentially close battle this week against Daubs, so it’ll be interesting to see how that turns out.

3. Phryme – Has his first chance at becoming the champ but will have to try his hardest to become champ. Has a hard battle but he is a good battler. Could take advantage if Butler doesn’t show.

2. Butler – I expect him to be champ next week and as long as he shows and votes then I think he will be.

1. N.Tavarez – He scraped through with a win last week due to various shit happening but he’s still champ. Whether or not he will be after this week I dunno, but he’s nice whatever happens.

Let’s make this week HOT. Shit has been dying down a bit because of the tag tournament, but lets get through these weeks with no hitches and then we’ll set the foundations for when the tag tourney ends.
