Net Fame

IP: 085F 2813

Now, before you run along saying "who the fuck cares about net fame except geeks who can't get any props on tha streetz", consider this...

The net itself is growing so fucking fast and more and more people are going to be around it more and more often. Myself, I know plenty of people from school who I never even thought of being online coming on for 4-5 hours a day. The internet is starting to provide match-making for LOVE on the net, which is no doubt much more significant than music (generally.) In the very near future, it is more than possible that you will hear your friends talking about their favorite, what you call "netcees" like DZK, Nimrod etc. Some of these artists could even sell gold, MAYBE even platinum JUST by their popularity off of the ever growing net. So, how important/significant do you think building a "net fame" fanbase is to a career in noit even just music, but anything?

i don't honestly need or crave net fame. its for imbosils that act hard or "thuggish" on the net because they suck at education or can't get a job, or are the boy in the corner without any friends at school. so they reside on their spinny chairs, with their stubby sweaty fingertips at a keyboard dissing other individuals. plus, they get hyped over beating someone lyrically through a screen, and taking arguments or otherwise known as "beef" literally and seriously, often holding petty vendettas against that person and his/her crew. its really sad to see people insulting one another, and i hope we can get past this one day, and just be e-buddys and discuss intellectually nourished topics with eachother. but sadly, most of the people on this site will never let the thug culture go.

ah i see it both ways, nothings like performing infront of a crowd, or just infront a few friends or even at local places where u live, but the net does help...lets more people get heard, some maybe that would be afraid at first to try rockin an actual establisment nah mean

But isn't being a netcee bad for there image alot of people will dismiss them as nerds and image is a biiiiiiig thing in the music industry. Kids will be like "That dude must be a fake thug he's got the net". But I geuss there is a possibility of netcees blowing up.

Fame is fame. Long as I'm slanging records I don't care if it's face to face or paypal. I agree. I got lots of netcee favorites, cause I ain't listenin for who's got the most gats, but who's got the nicest flow, or dopest lyrics. Fucka gangsta if you spit as bad as lil wayne, and fucka gangsta if ya wordplay is poor as Juvey's. 50% of my fans are off the net, ordering my mixtape, or emailin me waitin on my solo. So to netfame. (Long as you still get your ass out the basement and do shows lol

It allows you to make contacts in the business, personally I know a case where a guy from The Netherlands be producing for mad underground cats in the USA just because they picked him up from a board just like this. Internet is THE ideal way to spread your name around because almost everyone has access to internet. It's the best medium to get known at a fast pace.

net fame is a good thing

only way net fame is shitty is for kids who use it to beef with people and talk a lot of shit just cuz they know there friends will come and back em up
it makes them feel all superior when in actual fact they are probably insignificant school kids who get their heads flushed daily
also, its pathetic to see kids claim they are godly through their net fame and only ever text a lot of shit on the net

net fame is only gonna help sumone possibly getting anywhere in the business if they are capable and aspire to drop some type of audio in the future..............cuz ya aint gonna see no text rappers on the TV are ya!!!!

Anyone Who Puts Down Advertising By Net Is An Idiot...
I Myself Very Often Make Remarks Putting Down Net Battling And Such...
But Thats Only, Text, Text-Net Is Useless...
I Do It And Its Just For My Own Personal Release...
But Audio-Net Is Prolly The Best Thing For A Growing Emcee...

Just Think Of It This Way...
The Majority Of America Has A Car...
Constantly Driving Everywhere Or Sitting At Home, Very Few People Walk Though...
The Way You Advertise Yourself On The Streets Is By Stapling Ads To Walls And Shit...
But Since No Really Walks It For The Most Part Gonna Get Overlooked...
Atleast Until You First Perform And Build A Name...
So Ad's On Telephone Post And Shit Will Get You Something...
But By Advertising Yourself Online You Get Everyone...
In Your State, Outside Your State, Even Internationally...
And Unlike With An Ad Were You Can Only Describe Yourself...
While On The Net The Listener Has All The Samples Right At The Tips Of His Fingers...

So You Build This Huge Fanbase Online (Such As DZK, ect.)...
To The Point Were Everyone Is ASKING For CD's, Upcoming Show Dates, Ect...
So Then The Anticipation Builds Up So Much Even Though You're Not Even Signed...
Then All It Takes Is An Email, A Post, A PM Chain And Everyone Know When Your Show Is...
And Come Concert Night You've Gotta Packed House...

The Net Just Gives You Such A Larger Field To Spread Your Name...
And It Builds Popularity And Hype Wich Spreads...
From Friend To Friend State To State Until You're The Best Known Unknow...
And Thats Whats Up, Net Is Just A Better Market For Advertising...
.One.
