I love artistic girls alot. I've just noticed that nearly every single girl I've ever become close to loves writing poetry. Is it just I'm drawn to these kinda girls naturally or has anyone else noticed this.

Fuck yeah, I know what you mean. If a girl writes a good poem, they are awesome in my books. Problem is, while many of them write poetry, not many of them write poetry that doesn't suck. My gf is alright with her words, but her subject matter is hella cliche. For example, she wrote this poem after a big fight we had (she was really angry with me for saying I loved somebody else. I told her there isn't just only one kind of love in the world etc, but she kept concentrating on the fact that I said I loved someone else that wasn't her):

Who I am, and who I'll always be is yours.
But you cannot erase the anguish and sorrow of before.
I gave you my hand, and with it the key,
But you let them go along the way.
Why?

Do I lack what you need?
Do you fear what might be?
What am I in your sight?
No longer a girl that you view to be beautiful; perfect.
