While its impressive that you are trying new things, this isnt quite Haiku..
The Haiku, or Hokku, use the count 5-7-5.
Traditionally Haiku are about nature and generally a 'Haiku' written about people, comedious and other non natural subjects is called a Senryu, to set it apart from the Haiku.
Nice first try though

Tourniquet - Well maybe. But Haiku's, according to a man i once knew ,called Kaza (Kazuyoshi) are encouraged in this modern day and age, to be about a broad range of things. Not concentrating on nature. Furthermore, haikus that are witty are also common and encouraged. Though usually with substance. As otherwise after a while, it becomes kind of inane. Unless it's very very clever. Even then, it'll usually have substance.

Er...haikus have penetrated modern western culture. So i don't think purity (in the classical Japanese sense) of them are upheld too much outside those certain circles. And even sometimes within.

Another solid attempt. But this was 4-6-5. But as you said, it's your first attempt. There's room for elevation for sure.

...resp....

lmao...I appreciated the "I will remain good"
it actually seemed kind of hopeful =)
yeah, but like varen said, subastance is key...
I never liked writing them on the nature tip, but thats because I find so little inspiration in nature.
we should collab a haiku or something LoL
