Ok I Got A New Mic And Amp And I Have Them Hooked Up To My Comp Now Shit Is Download And All All My Vlumes And Shit Is Up Also I Can Hear Myself On The Mic But I Cant For Some Reason Record On Cool Edit The Wave Just Makes Straight Lines And No Wave Whats Wrong??

ummm...even though your mic is up on the computer...i think cool edit has a place for you mic volume...i am not sure...i use adobie audition 1.5 and i know there are ways to mute shit n such without even realizing it...open a new session and make sure nothing is muted...or on your mic there might be a on/off switch...maybe on the bottom if its a real good one...but i dont know, just check cool edit...you mic should work if its new

make sure.........on your pre-amp...the gain and out put or more than zero,.......make sure you also have (if you ahve a condensor mic) have enough phantom power ..........but mainly make sure that your gain and output knons are turned up
