My speakers?....

I just hooked em up, and they keep tapping. Like a tattin sound. Even when I turn the volume down. Any ideas what is going on?

Well the bass has the power connected to it and then one of the speakers has a cable that connects to the bass so the power runs through that. Then the other speaker plugs into the back of my comp. It's not that loud, just kind of annoyin.
*Edit* It stopped. Guess they just had to warm up.

Are you sure you have the speakers in the OUTPUT hole not the INPUT Hole on the sound card.. Or the Microphone hole
