And cause g-unit has marketed their shit so well its reaching people who would of never heard rap.. Think about how warped raps image would be to some people looking from the outside, they dont think NWA, pac n big etc etc, they think 50 cent, lil jon, chingy, puff daddy, w/e other bullshit MTV throws in the mix..

Rap is alternative man, its a culture thing.. I hope to god people who actually have ill skills on the mic, go back to the lime light.. Theres new generations comming up all the time, hip hop gotta pick its act up or shit wont change..

Gunit aint got shit to do with paveing the way for hip hop culture to take back the rap industry.. Thats on future famous rappers that are comming up these days to set in their mind..

^^ I wouldn't disagree with most of what you said. Specially since I don't rmember most of it. But G-Unit's mass marketing is what is bringing the revival of lyricsm about as a counter-reaction yo their commercialism. I dunno about you, but I think it's gonna be a fun ride.

Don't get me wrong though, radio stations will always be pumping that commercial shit just because that's the climate of rap music when the station heads are thoroughly greased by record execs. But reguardlesss of that - the new calling for an emcee is lyricysm and story telling.
