the day beginning, but smog clouds the firmament's sunshine.
Crossing countries to plant the seeds of our greed's deceit,
our devices don't dare revolt --- they know inevitable defeat.
People believe that superiority outlives other species' lives,
melded together by our smiths, and they stick to their own kind.
An age-old controversial battle remains, machine vrs. man,
steel plating scorched by flames, and surviving harm's hand.

Under the stars,
silent, roaming cars.

Their headlights are eyes, the wheels riding where life is to be paid,
simply the product of the faults of the universe, on the day of Y2K.
