Pandora's Box

The Georges are renowned. . But, judging from our scars they're detrimental
In the future, their conduct will be considered far from presidential
Most of the nation dreaded war. . Still, we were hoping to watch
But George and George decided that we'd be content, and opened the box. .
A collective sin. . In a world of porkers, of course, their prospective's thin
Their visions are shielded. . Their fault? Senior screwed us, then we elected him!
We knew of the box and the key. . But our leaders were gifted we're told
Never in our wildest dreams did we think the key could fit through the hole
But it did. . No newsflashes, for the opening is an event that goes unpublicized
Later, the masses collectively don't believe it. . They close and rub their eyes
Could it be? We've been labeled dominating, fine, but in all seriousness. .
The UN has turned our nation. . The tables are turned, now we're "the Imperialists"
Now the West is the bad. . We confess we're mad, but under this distress we're sad
The Stock Market crashes. . Who do we hate? The UN's the one who set the tag
Chirac? Schroeder? Hussein? All enemies of our disgruntled state
We picked up the ball and ran with it, when the Soviet Union had fumbled "hate"
They were real . . Imperialists? They were a threat, but the calm seduced them
Then, bam! They were out the window, shreaded along with our Constitution
But look at it from their prospective. . We discouraged and squooshed consideration
New weapons drained the Curda Sea. . It's time to change this "Bush Administration"
Still, "we" worship him as Washington and Lincoln are minted with shrews
A microscope? Nah, a keyhole. . A fitting metaphor for his limited views
What do we do? We're still facing extermination, we're the infected ones. .
Come 2020, despite it all. . Surely, we'll be content to elect his son

TWO PEOPLE, ONE NAME, ONE VIEW. .
Presidents, George Bush, Limited.

...:::Age 13:::...
This Is When It All Began, When It All Went Wrong..
This Is When I Realized My Parents Couldnt Get Along..
Dad Came Home Drunk As Usual, I Locked Myself Away..
My Bedroom Down The Hall, It Was The Safest Place To Stay..
The Shouting And The Screaming, My Only Wishes Of A Bad Dream..
Sitting In The Corner Afraid Of My Own Father, I Lost Self-Asteem..
Next I Heard A Sickening Thud, Then The Sound Of Someone Drop..
Looking Through The Keyhole, My Dad Had Hit My Mother But He Didnt Stop..
I Couldnt Look But I Had To As I Helplessly Saw My Mum Gat Beaten..
I Hated That Man, To Me He Was No-one...My Love For Him Was Eaten..
The Tears I Shed, The Blood She Lost I'll Never Forget..
The Door Slamed, He Left, She Was Helpless, Full Of Regret..
Didnt see Him For Three Years...Were They The Best?..

...:::Age 16:::...
Living In The Same House, Been Out With Friends, Then Hear A Scream..
I Remembered That Same Scream Before...I Remembered What I'd Seen..
Approached The Front Door Scared, I Looked Through The Keyhole, It Was Him..
Rage Entered Me, Quickly Opened The Door, Ran For The Bastard, I Wanted To Kill Him..
Then Another Sickening Thud, This Time I Dropped To The Floor, I Was Knocked Out..
Whiskey Bottle To The Head, They Thought I Was Dead, Is This What A Family Is All About..

...:::The Light:::...
What They Say Is True About You Life Flashing Before Your Eyes..
A Long Dark Corridor, All I Could See Was The Door Of Light..
Approaching It, Had A Key In My Hand, Put It In The Hole, It Didnt Open The Door..
It Didnt Fit, I Guess My Life Hadnt Ended, I Remembered Lying On The Floor..
I Looked Through The Keyhole And Saw My Whole Future...I Wasnt Bad..
You Wanna Know What I Saw...It Was Me Not Turning Out Like My Dad..

*Sorry For The Delay Lyric...I Was Busy And Nearly Forgot About This...This Was A Bit Rushed And Didnt Have Time To Work On It But Still Got Most Of It Down...Best Of Luck To Ya...*

I actually belieaved the Mystik Mind concept was better as i think the Bushes are played, but although Mind delivered aight, he could not match Lyracilis vocab, his imagination and his wordplay, Mind's was too simple this time, so Lyracili takes it

Very nice work from both but Lyricali took this with his imagery and word play..... his vocab was good but his imagery was like reading a fairytale book..... good work both of you ....

I liked Mystik Mind's format a lot more and I liked the concept more, but I think Lyricali just won this through brute skill, he took a concept not a nice as Lystik's and made me want to read it

the concept of Pandora's box was really cool, I like how it was related to modern day stuff.
Mystik, your verse was still pretty good, nice finisher, but the concept of abusive fathers is much to common. The originality didn't stand out.
Peace
