i knew a man once who shook my whole life
we clicked right from the start he was the one man who could see past my eyes
he looked right into my soul into the inner depths of my heart
but it was not to last, we would soon be apart
murdered by another man who enraged with jealousy
had never met the boi before but he persisted that i belonged to he
my boyfriend truly diminished by his remarks crying inside
shook his head and walked away with a shattered heart and disembodied pride
The man took this as ignorance and ordered the man to stand

he laughed at this remark and slowly turned round to face his killer

The man turned blue and screamed into his face at how sorry he would be
but instead of commenting on the remark my boyfriend turned to talk to me
he said i do not care for honest remarks at this certain point in time

i started crying at his sweet words but could not tll him the truth
because before i got the words out of my mouth the man had already shoot.
i stood there in disbeleivement as his body hit the floor
i prayed to god to spar his life, or give him just a few minutes more
i lay there with him till he passed on but not befre i told him

and i swear that when his eyes closed, i seen his soul take flight
like a pheonix rising from the ashes he swilrd around my body and up wards

it cried out my name before dissapearing in my ears rang his last words

the man i didnt kno had panicked and then with a bitter twist of irony
he told me he had been mistaken and infact the girl he seeks was not me
i just laughed at this because there wasnt anything else that i could say
so i just lay there beside my loved one and i started to pray

now everytime i think about him i hear his laugher and his soft words
and i picture his soul emerging in the shape of that strong bird
and every night when i am in my bed his prsence touches me slightly with its wings
and my heart skips a beat every time i hear a bird sing
