Hatred exists between certain groups of people. Tha Black Panthers hate tha KKK, tha Bloodz hate tha Cryps, Terrorists hate America, and two crews, which reside in Newport News, VA, share this hatred. Tha “Downtown Hitmen” and tha “Denbigh Sharp Shootaz” live and die for respect. Recently, both gangs have stumbled into each others crosshairs. Tha only solution is…WAR.

Bloody Streets, Cruddy Peeps…Sharp Shootaz on Runnin’ Streaks/
Lack of ammo…Gunnin Depletes, great Losses for Both/
Barrels begin Crossin sum Throats, baseball bats now Off’n sum Hopes/
Enemies Lost in tha Smoke…But tha “Hitmen” must Even tha Odds/
No ones Leavin Alive…Down 10…still not Believin in God/
Breathin is Hard and so are ComeBacks, a Gun Claps…Lungs Collapse/
Among tha Gasps…chambers empty…”Who Brung tha Bats?”/
Strikin Persists, “Hitmen” swingin bats…tha “Shootaz” Fightin with Fists/
Right through tha Mist…both crews are blinded by Bright Lightnin of Bliss/

Death Doesn’t Discriminate, that’s something true to divinity
Malcolm was good… I guess so were Martin Luther & Kennedy
We choose Pac n Biggy, See we understand about what’s right with right
Because by our sight, All these rights our left wrong and lose their life
Choose the strife? I wont do it, So my Sight Is Still Steady Leavin
How can I find my balance on the path of righteousness if at the end…

The Eclipse...

I appreciate the story that MKN told, I do...

And I like the originality of having God pop in there like that.

But, again with the gangsta stuff?

PLAYED concept, I know alot of rap started outta the ghetto, with gangs and shit...

But it's been a story told for almost 2 decades now.

And, frankly, I'm tired of hearing it.

Still, it was a good verse, ya flow and multi's in the first part were sick.

You started stretching lines in the last part and it kinda hurt ya flow some, but overall the imagery was dead on, I was brought into this gang battle despite not wanting to go to the same played place again.

7.75/10

Mystery's was pretty exceptional...

I like the deepness and the questions this raised in my head.

Plus, I like history, this was dope to include some.

I could just relate more to this, simple as that.

And the Billy Joel hook was a nice touch.

8.50/10

Neither one came with exceptional wordplay or voacb.
This one came down to feeling the emotion of the piece and I felt MM's more...

Great work from both.

this was a very good and interesting topical battle
I think MM showed some really high potential and hit a little harder, although MKN had a very well thought out piece the gangster made it drop its rank, good battle but i think MM takes this with a little more emotional and interesting verse....

Maddawg pretty much took the same approach i did this week...
but it has no cause on my vote...

Maddawg-...shit... i was really feelin this... i loved the flow...
even tho it seemed stretched out... i was rappin this in my head...
the imagry was great...the story was told welll...
i really digged this whole thing... especially the end...
