Jean Grae - Underground Legend or just another Femcee?

IP:

For those of you who are not familiar with Jean Grae, I don't blame you. She's managed to stay underground (signed to the overlooked Babygrande record label) for quite sometime. You may have heard her on The Roots' "Somebody's Gotta Do It" as the smooth-flowing female on verse 2. Her first album "Attack of the Attacking Things" is a slept on hood classic - you might call her a "female Immortal Technique". I'm posting this 'cuz I'm curious as to what you all think of her - hot or not? Personally, if you can outshine Talib Kweli ("Phoenix" from Kweli's The Beautiful Mix Cd) you've earned my respect. Hit me back with your thoughts people.

If you want a good example of Jean's solo work, check out "My Crew" and "Block Party". (The lyrical content of the second title is quite irrelevant, yet I can't complain...Ma's got mad skills on the slow flow)

Drop an honest vote, gimme a link and I'll return the favor.
