Blank Night
A sole snowflake in the midst of a pitch-black sky
Falling
Deeper and deeper
No safety net to catch me
Crossing stars, missing clouds to land on
No trees to provide a resting place
Whoosh
Passing buildings by as the ground seems closer
Than ever before
Is this the end of my endless existence?
Where is my savior?
Where is my prince charming?
Is he too busy fighting dragons?
Or is he not in the mood for a fairytale ending?
Here I float
A naive little snowflake
Pretty to look at but useless
The earth approaches when I suddenly see
A pile of white
Now I have the choice
Keep my pride and die a melting death
Or
Try to be accepted by the others
Falling too fast now I choose
For pride in my life
I rather die happily but alone
Than
To live unhappily within the mass
Here I lay
Awaiting the end
Unless someone picks me up
To appreciate me
As a proud little snowflake
Will you pick me up?
