The child can feel the beating of her Mother’s heart to prove the life is real And the mother can sense the devoted breath of her young, the unexplainable feel. The child’s skin so tender, as the Mother tediously strokes her daughters arm… And the infant feels warmed, as she is confident she is locked from all kinds of harm. Now, the babe’s eyes are closed, and her body secured warmly in a black velvet cloak as her mother’s memories of when fade, and reality from a week ago starts to choke. The mother now stares deep into the portal of her daughter, where she will now be kept And she pulls the black veil from her eyes, and there on her cheeks is where she’s wept. From her shaky hands, she places three red roses across her child’s eternally secured bed and she prays to her Father for her infant to be well, and more tears from her eyes she's bled. With one single kiss placed upon her child’s sincere forehead, she slowly says good bye, And the mother drags her body back to the pews…for once more she begins to cry. Oh! My child… Oh! My child… Your mysterious death has brought us all great sorrow… But now you are in your Father’s home… Where soon My Child, I too shall follow.
