So with me being lazy and not wanting to read all the posts I will only say a few things.

1) No, the modern man has not gone through slavery. But in effect of slavery, the African-American has a gap in an otherwise bright history in which still affects everyone today. Reparations SHOULD be paid and I feel this way because after World War II, the country spent the time to pay back Japanese-American's back for internment and has still not paid the black community back for slavery. =/
2) If you have skills, you should be able to rap. Period. You never saw Run DMC downing anyone about anything so why would you try and say the culture is "ours". Thats like white folks saying black people can't do rock.
3) The word "nigga" in my eyes is an acceptable term in society as long as it is used to show friendship or fondness for ones brother. I do however feel that why it had to come to using nigga is stupid, if the meaning is positive, leave it be.
